Spanish flutist Rocío Bolaños del Pozo, based in The Netherlands, weaves together her passion for orchestral playing, chamber music, and teaching.


ORCHESTRA EXPERIENCE

Since December 2025, she has held the position of Associate Flute with the Orquesta Sinfónica y Coro de Radio Televisión Española (ORTVE).

Passionate about orchestra playing, she regularly works as Co-Principal flute with ensembles such as:

She has also appeared with other orchestras, including the Orquesta Ciudad de Granada (OCG), the Orquesta de Córdoba (OC), the Orquesta Simfònica de les Illes Balears, the Orquesta Filarmonía de Granada, the Orquesta de Vigo or the Heritage Orchestra, among others.

Her orchestral activity has led her to perform alongside renowned soloists such as Steven Isserlis, Frank Peter Zimmermann, Esther Yoo, Veronika Eberle or Amihai Grosz under the direction of prestigious conductors such as Christoph Eschenbach, David Afkham, Jaap van Zweden, Adam Fischer, Omer Meir Wellber, Lahav Shani, Karina Canellakis, Krysztof Urbanski, Alexandre Bloch or Pablo Heras-Casado on some of the most important European stages such as the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg, the Het Concertgebouw in Amsterdam or the Konzerthaus Berlin, among others.

Additionally, during the 2018 - 2019 season, she served as a flute academist with the Orquesta Ciudad de Granada under the baton of Pablo Heras - Casado. Since 2021, she has been listed as an instrumentalist with the Orquesta Simfònica de les Illes Balears.
